This art piece invokes a feeling of quiet calm –
the idea behind “sanctuary” and “rest”.
 
The nest is a purchase from a floral department.  The eggs are fashioned from clay by hand and are also hand painted.  The cathedral window is hand cut with vintage button embellishments.  The feather embellishments add a hint of realism to the piece.   Mother of pearl buttons, real twigs, and more vintage buttons around the frame add character and charm.
 
Frame and box are handpainted and distressed – measuring approximately 7 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches at the outside diameters…the inside frame is 5 inches by 7 inches  by 1 inch and is under glass.
 
The words surrounding the window are “Even the sparrow has found a home; and the swallow a nest for herself.  Psalm 84:3.”
 
The piece is signed and dated on the back; it comes ready for hanging.
