Inspired by the muted colors of vintage treasures and the beautiful white of 0lder textiles which are a treasure of texture – delicate lace and embroidery invite us to touch and to admire the details.  As I painted, I was reminded of the simple white that the Bible says our robes of righteousness are colored with and which now clothe us.  Click over here to read the blog post that inspired this piece!

The background is water color, painted on 140 lb. cold press paper – the dress is acrylic and the little eyelet design at the neckline is some texture medium applied through a doily…of course the watermark will not appear on the painting.  The painting will arrive in a sturdy package and in a protective sleeve.

Image is 9 x 12 and that includes the white border.
